There were some exceptional performances on Matchday One of JC MSFL Season 2012/13. Here are Danny Caro's golden picks.
JOSH COHEN (Los Blancos) - the big Blancos stopper ensured his team made a solid start with a crucial penalty save against much-fancied Glenthorne B. He got a hand on another penalty and although had an assist with his team's opener
JAMIE BEALE (Oakwood B) - barely put a foot wrong at the back against a Jewventus team featuring Richard 'the Schnitzelman' Fogelman
SIMON SHELLEY (Shirley Park) - relentless effort in the wing-back role as Park life made a rip-roaring start against an experienced UJIA team. Was named man-of-the-match, despite a four-goal salvo from Jamie Kent and another masterclass from the boy Plotnek
ILAN SCORAH (Oakwood A) - reliable as they come, Scorah ensured the mighty Oaks made a smooth transition into the top-flight. Didn't put a foot wrong for 90 minutes and organised with a calming influence
MARK LEADER (Norstar A) - a summer signing from Raiders, Leader formed a brilliant partnership at the heart of the Stars defence against Josh Pistol. Will be a big player for his club this season
ALEX BULL (Southgate Harmen) - "at just 17, Bull showed incredible composure and skill to score a wonder goal after 20 minutes. Following a cross from the right, he came steaming in from the right and thumped a half volley into the roof of the net ... watch out for this boy!
YONI RAEBURN (Faithfold A) - a quality customer who has been out of the MSFL headlines for far too long. Brixton wished he'd left it a little longer. Crushed the hopes of the newly-promoted team. A class act
JAMIE WOLFSON (North London Raiders A) - scored a sensational hat-trick against former champions RJC. In the words of his manager, "3 chances 3 goals. Caused problems all game"
JAMIE SINAI (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) - terrorised the Norstar defence and scored all four goals in a memorable morning. Lester Jacobs ensured he got great service off the inspirational Yoni Bord and he didn't need a second invitation to score. Showed the kind of killer instinct that Brendan Rogers could do with right now
JAKE GILBERT (Athletic Bilbaum) - produced a real wonder show against fellow Division Two new boys SPEC FC who simply couldn't handle him. Everything he touched turned to goals
BEN ZLOOF (AC Mill Hill) - several clubs wanted him but only one could get him. ACMHFC boss Joe Levy has a real gem on his hands. He told JC Sport: "Ben Zloof was the real difference. He showed his true quality in front of goal and showed why we were so desperate for him to sign with us." Norstar C didn't know what him them
