Here are the star men from Matchday 2 of the MGBSFL.
1. SAM CASTLE (ML Lions A) - "a truly colossus performance" against Camden Park, with three "world-class saves"
2. ARIEL TAMMAN (MH Dons) - reminded his boss of "a young Dani Alves". "Scored the opener in the game and made some critical challenges and headers during the game. A last-ditch challenge in the penalty area kept the scores level during a critical period of the game"
3. JONNY GAHAN (Faithfold A) - "stand-out performance" against Bilbaum
4. ANTHONY GOODMAKER (NL Raiders B) - crucially won his battle with Scrabble danger man Danny Sherman
5. DANNY HAKIMI (Redbridge JC A) - "rolling back the years with a superb performance of class and experience"
6. DANIEL BEAN (Redbridge JC B) - "the Jewish N'galo Kante. The amount of ground this boy covers is just outstanding. A real talent"
7. THOMAS PRAIS (Oakwood A) - "the best player on the pitch by some distance," according to Dan Kristall against Redbridge. "Bossed the midfield"
8. ROCKY SPITZER (Hendon A) - SEE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
9. DEAN NYMAN (Redbridge JC A) - "an unbelievable performance, it was a master class of how to play the game and in that lone striker position, his hold up play was incredible. Deserved his goal as the icing on the cake but at times, he was unplayable and occupied the back 4 on his own"
10. AVI MARKIEWICZ (RCUK FC) - outstanding going forward, great link-up play and four perfectly-executed finishes
11. REISS MOGILNER (Brady Maccabi) - last season's MGBSFL Golden Boot winner was bang on it. A constant threat to SPEC FC with his pace and movement and took all 4 of his goal very nicely
