articlemain

Here are the top performers from Division One on Matchday 14 of the MGBSFL.

1. BEN ROSENTHAL (Woodford Wanderers) - produced a string of top saves to deny Sosobad who had "a number of clear-cut chances" to kill the game

2. ANDY LEVY (Woodford Wanderers) - "his performance in the second half will be hard to top"

3. JOSH LAURIER (Brady Maccabi) - "great all-round performance on and off the ball. Scored two and set up a goal on his return to the team"

4. OLI KENNER (Brady Maccabi) - "moved back into centre back this week but was faultless once again. Proving to be a great summer addition"

5. DAN GEEY (Oakwood B) - "an absolute warrior. These are the game that DG was born to play in. A leader and an example to all of the players"

6. MARC HECHT (SPEC FC) - "worked tirelessly off the ball and it was a real captain's performance. His goal just before half time was crucial"

7. ASHLEY STANTON (Real Sosobad) - "finally finding his feet and getting his confidence back. Warrants much-deserved praise for his persistence, thick skin and attitude. Used the ball well and created some excellent chances. A real hearty performance"

8. ALEX HERSHMAN (SPEC FC) - "a different kind of performance from Hershey but I can't remember seeing someone run so much and then produce so much quality with the ball. Easily his best performance in a SPEC shirt"

9. RAFI BLOOM (Oakwood B) - "best game Jason Stein has 'ever seen' from Bloomy out on the right-hand side. Tireless work-rate, exceptional positioning and good delivery. Did everything but score"

10. BOBBY ABRAMS (Oakwood B) - scored the goal that made Jason Stein do a David Pleat! "Cool character who relished leading the line today. Exquisite touch, tireless work rate and wonderful finish late on"

11. BARRY GREEN (Real Sosobad) - "worked his socks off and scored two goals, finally getting back on the scoresheet as we all knew he would. Barry Kane, he's one of our own!"

MANAGER: Jason Stein (Oakwood B)
