Cup exit hurts so much, says Green

Jonathan Green picked the positives out of Norstar London Raiders A's Challenge Cup exit as their hopes of a quadruple were quashed at the last 16 stage against Dees FC.

NLR missed a host of chances, and despite a strike from Ben Joseph and an excellent performance from makeshift full-back Elliott Moslawy, the MGBSFL league leaders bowed out.

NLR's Jonathan Green said: "At times, we played some brilliant stuff and it was one of those situations where it is hard to believe that we didn't walk off the pitch winning 5-0. We were totally dominant for almost the duration of the match and got caught by clinical sucker punches."

A hat-trick from David Woolman inspired Oakwood A to a 6-0 mauling of Maccabi London Lions Seniors in the Peter Morrison Trophy. Josh Rose (2) and the in-form Brad Wine completed the rout.

Lions boss Dan Jacobs commented: "It will take a very good team, playing very well, to beat Oakwood if they play like that in future rounds."

Joseph Cohen, Shim Bensoor and Rocky Spitzer fired FC Team A into the third round of the Cyril Anekstein Cup with a routine 3-1 victory over AC Whetstone. Alex Wolffenden replied.

The match saw vanishing spray make its Maccabi football debut. Ref Martin Fox said: "I bought a can in America and wore the belt, and the players loved it. They were whooping every time a free-kick was awarded. They loved it - there was no encroachment and they respected it. It made them feel important."

Mike Pearson fired his first goals for Harmen as they edged home 2-1 against Blizzard Storm.

David Garbacz believes Hendon A were "far superior" to Woodford Wanderers as the holders progressed 1-0, thanks to a strike from Greg Corin.

Steve Summers (2) and Dan Castle boosted Redbridge Jewish Care A's title bid with a 3-0 victory at Faithfold A.

Norstar London Raiders B continue to lead Division One on goal difference after edging past Athletic Bilbaum with strikes from Rob Samuelson, Jacob Gold and Dave Esterkin. Jacob Brunner (2) replied.

Los Blancos completed a quickfire league double as efforts from Simon Moses and Joseph Davis cemented a 2-1 victory over Camden Park.

Jon Jacobs praised hotshot Daniel Garfinkle after his five-goal salvo kept Redbridge B flying high following a 6-1 demolition of SPEC FC. Sam Sollosi added the gloss.

Daniel Beresford criticised his AC Mill Hill side for "failing to close the game out" as they missed out on top spot in Division Two after a 3-3 draw against Catford & Bromley. Ben Zloof, Jason Shoffman and an own goal had put Mill Hill 3-1 in front, but the Cats hit back through Joel Isaacs (2) and Gary Hill.

Second-half strikes from Zac Brin, Zack Collins, Ollie Smith and Ollie Brill helped Jewdinese come from behind to beat Norstar London Raiders C 4-1.

A last-minute effort from Dominic Hallett earned Temple Fortune their first win of the season at the expense of Hendon B. Zach Rich was also on target as Fortune recorded their first victory since March 16. Avi Mocton replied.

Dale Bradman earned improving Boca Jewniors a share of the spoils against title-chasing Faithfold B, while Sam Collins and Scott Ackerman guided Lions Green past KS Reunited.
