Corin led Hendon to the MGBSFL Premier Division season in his one season at the helm – they were denied the double after losing the Cyril Anekstein Cup final to Oakwood on penalties.
“I have taken the decision to step down from management after a thoroughly enjoyable and successful first season as player-manager,” Corin told JC Sport.
“I am keen to concentrate on playing as much as possible, which was hindered slightly by the management role last year. I have been selected for next year’s over 35’s 11 a side squad for the Pan American Games in Mexico so playing time has become even more paramount this season.”
Corin is confident Sapler is the right man to lead Hendon into the new Maccabi League season, and said: “ Jordan is a young coach but with good credentials and we are confident that he will handle the role well and lead the next generation of talented Hendon players towards winning more trophies in the future.

“The younger players want the club to re-establish a good midweek training session and an improved level of coaching and Jordan’s undoubted commitment to the role is what is needed to meet the team’s demands.
“It’s been a pleasure to manage what is truly an exceptionally talented crop of players and although I intend to sign again for Hendon as a player, I fully expect my level of involvement within the team to diminish this year as the young players evolve into the leading members of the squad.
"A big thank you to the club, the players, the fans, the league and, of course, the superb media coverage. Who knows? Maybe a return to the hot seat at Hendon one day….”
Incoming manager Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "I’m delighted to take on the role of manager at Hendon - they have long been the top club in Jewish football so to be a part of that is great.
"I’m excited to work with a great group of guys who share the same attitude and approach to the game that I have.
"A huge thank you to Greg, Russ Corin, Avi Korman, Ari Last and Josh Bentley - who have all helped with the transition and am looking forward to working with them to carry on the the success the club has seen."
