Brady Maccabi B have pulled off what could be one of the greatest transfers in MSFL history after signing London Maccabi Lions A and JC Goalkeeper of the Year Sam Castle on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.
Brady B are fast becoming the Notts County of the Maccabi League after persuading yet another Premiership player to join the red side of Rowley Lane following the signing of Daniel Harrod from Faithfold A.
Castle, selected as JC Goalkeeper of the Year, has decided to join his boyhood club after a meeting with Brady B manager Josh Dagul convinced him to join the Brady project.
The Division Two outfit, having recently been taken over by oil tycoon Sheikh Salmon, have spent heavily since January and Castle's signing is the icing on the cake.
Castle will be thrown straight into the deep end and will occupy the no. 1 shirt at Brady this season.
Shirt sales are expecting to rocket through the roof and Dagul had this to say. "Sam is a gifted goalkeeper. He is a great shot-stopper and has great distribution of the ball. He will be a huge asset to Brady Maccabi B and we are delighted that he is joining us."
Castle has also said a few words to the Brady B fans. Castle told JC Sport: "It’s always difficult to find a perfect match, but I do feel that this is the perfect match for me.
"Brady Maccabi breathes football. If you look at other players from Brady, the stadium and the manager, my choice was made very soon in my mind.
"When I have to make a hard decision in life, I always listen to the little boy inside me. What does he want? That little boy was screaming for Brady Maccabi B."
