Hendon Hawks Rovers continued their unbeaten start to the new season with an 11-2 win over HMH Eilat in the Maccabi National League Under 11 Division.
Rovers began the game with an early goal courtesy of David Amor, following a through ball by Akiva Restan. Amor doubled the lead after running through the HMH defence to strike the ball into the bottom corner.
HMH Eilat hit back with a shot from the edge of the area.
Avishai Marcus was making the central midfield role his own with some tough tackling and rightly added his name to the scoresheet with a great strike past the keeper.
The goals continued to come as Restan curled home direct from a corner for Rovers fourth of the afternoon. The Hawks continued to apply the pressure resulting in Amor securing a first half hat-trick.
The second half kicked off with Jonathan Korn coming off the bench to assist Amor in securing his fourth of the afternoon and the team's sixth with a great cross which Amor poached into the back of the net.
Marcus then spread the ball out to the left hand side for Restan to strike the ball beyond the HMH keeper for a brace. Amor was not done yet as he collected a through ball from Restan and tucked his shot into the bottom corner.
HMH Eilat then grabbed a late consolation goal. This goal did not deter the Hawks with Amor securing yet more goals. A lofted pass from Restan down the left hand side found its way to Jonathan Korn to cross the ball for Amor to poach his sixth of the afternoon. Amor then grabbed a further two goals, one assisted by Matti Karp and the other by Restan, to cap off a fantastic team performance. Amor's eight goals bring his tally to 18 in three matches.
