Facts do not work with people who have already made up their minds like most of the anti-Israel bloggers who post on this website. You can overwhelm them with the true facts of a given situation supplying them with chapter and verse and they will still stick with their original belief. The sad thing is that as Jews and Israelis, we are guilty of cooperating with the big lies that Arabs have used over the decades that tend to make people believe that we agree with the lies that are told about us.
We say “Palestinians” when we all know that there never were a people by that name until 1964 and some insist on saying “West Bank” instead of Judea and Samaria. Why? The Arabs want the world to believe that they are an ancient people who were in the land the Romans in their viciousness against the Jews called Palestine. A lie created in 1964 is “ancient?” The West Bank was only that for 19 years between 1949 and 1967 during an illegal occupation by Jordan to distinguish it from the East Bank of the River Jordan where the State of Jordan properly belongs the people who lived their did not call themselves Palestinians and nor did they press for independence in fact they acknowledged Jordan's illegal occupation - thankfully with the exception of britain and Pakistan nobody else did..
As you can see I never use either of those terms above when blogging about the situation we are in why aid the enemies of Israel in their attempts to delegitimize us and try to blot out our historical ties to Israel. Sometimes you have to use emotion they can understand that Israel is a Jewish state. They consider every millimeter of Israel as being “occupied.” Israel is not occupying any Arab land. They can claim that Israel is the monster state, that Israel is apartheid, that Israel uses blood of Christian children to make matzos, that Israel steals human organs, that Israel puts something in the water to stop the Arabs of Gaza having children, the list grows by the day. They lie like rugs.
Some of the counties of the UK are almost as big as Israel. Historically there was great rivalry between the two counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire that actually led to bloodshed. But more recently there has always been friendly competition between the Counties and for those unfamiliar with the UK the two counties border each other.
Let’s suppose for some reason or another that the old rivalries are stirred up again and Lancashire raises an illegal militia and suddenly attacks Yorkshire because they have never recognized Yorkshire’s right to exist. Instead of sending in troops, they just shoot rockets into the civilian areas of the cities in Yorkshire.
Nobody says a word against Lancashire for its unlawful incursions into Yorkshire . David Cameron ignores what is happening until the instant that Yorkshire drops leaflets telling the Lancastrians to take cover, the Yorkshire Light Infantry are about to attack. All of a sudden David Cameron says, “Whoa! Yorkshire, you are bad people. Pull back your troops and apologize to the Lancastrians.
Let’s carry this on in real life. The Lancastrians are responsible with their rocket attacks for killing 350 civilians in the City of York the Yorkshire Light Infantry on the other hand, is responsible for killing 1,500 Mancunians but most of them are in the illegal Lancashire Militia and the civilians who are killed are either human shields or are caught in cross fire. Who gets censored? Why Yorkshire, of course.
David Cameron says that the Lancastrians have the right to kill as many Yorkshire people as they want but Yorkshire people can’t touch Lancashire.
Is that fair? Of course it isn’t. But that is exactly what is happening in the Middle East. The Arabs want their own state. They have turned down their own state so many times it isn’t even funny. They will not recognize Israel, they lie like rugs when they say that Israel is apartheid and guilty of ethnic cleansing when the facts show that Israel is far from being apartheid and all Arab states exclude Jews from owning land or even entering the land they claim for themselves.
Whatever state or city you are in, you can use that example. People can understand local rivalries they can barely understand what is going on in the Middle East. Israel is ready to accept peace with the Arabs, but the Arabs are still fighting over who stole whose goat in 1567, so the chance of peace ever breaking out here is minimal.
