I spent half term in Portugal. We've found a lovely spot on the Algarve close to a small seaside resort called Carvoeiro and have now stayed there three times.
The town is a little old fashioned but I love that about it. Limited Brits and a small town square where they have live music at the weekend. We pop down after dinner and Mr F indulges in a bit of dad-dancing - much to my mini fresser's mortification.
For the first time I can remember on a family holiday, we had wall-to-wall sunshine. Not. One. Cloud. It was perfect.
It was the ideal trip to road test a new water bottle I'd been sent. A bright blue, steel flask from I0n8.
What I LOVED about the new blue flask is that it kept my water COLD. So long as what I put in was icy fresh, that's the way it stayed.
The hotel we stayed in kept a huge urn of cold water with natural flavourings in it. One day orange slices and cinnamon sticks (you have to try that combination) and on another, cucumber and lemon. Strawberries and mint was another winner. Kept me drinking all day.
So thank you to I0n8 - if you could just supply urns of chilled, flavoured water on a daily basis, that would be perfect. Oh, and while you're at it, please could you turn up the thermostat here in the UK and switch off this incessant rain.
