Foolish

October 16, 2011 12:01

Ralph Waldo Emerson. 1803-1882.

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.

Amazingly in Russell's statement purportedly made three days before his death there was not a word about the nearly one million Jewish refugees who had by that time been forced out from the Arab countries of the Middle East and nor did he mention that the 1967 War was as a consequence of Arab aggression. A totally one sided pronouncement which contradicted his earlier assertions that the Jewish people were deserving of their own country - there were despite Russell's assertions in his statement no people called Palestinian who were dispossed of their lands what he is claimed to have written was therefore wrong and now history records his error. To say he was wearing blinkers would be an understatement but that's par for the course for Israel haters. He hated the USA too but that's another story.
