A bad start for us, we lost to a single goal against Australia. We had a host of chances and couldn't take them and we also felt we had scored a goal but the ref said it had not gone over the line. We hit the post as well, but it was just not to be. We got caught on the break after about an hour and just couldn't turn things around. We had some good passages of play and created plenty, so we can take that forward into the next game.

Unfortunately, I wasn't selected and didn't even get on as a sub which was unexpected, so it has not been a good day all round. I personally am hoping for a better day tomorrow and to get my chance against Canada on Tuesday.

Brazil lost 8-0 to USA and Canada beat Israel 1-0.

Will try and post some photos soon but internet access at the Dan Panorama in Haifa is about 10pounds an hour!!! Even in reception! So, I am writing this from the Kfar Maccabiah hotel where we are attending a festival evening for participants. It's a pretty good do - much better than the one we came to here hosted by Maccabi GB last week! Have sourced a lovely cafe behind the hotel in Haifa with free wireless so hope to write again from there soon with a nice fruit shake in hand and in a better frame of mind!
