It’s World Chocolate Day AND England are playing in the semi-final of the Euros tonight. Two very good reasons why I'll be baking up some chocolatey treats in the Fresser household today. 

Here are a few recipes that are firm favourites with us, and will help you celebrate or commiserate during the big game later:

These cookies are something special. Simply choose your filling — a box of your favourite chocolate truffles or even a jar of Nutella, and swoon over Orly Peller-Bronshtein’s melt-in-the-mouth cookies inspired by a Tel Aviv bakery — the perfect half time pick-me-up.  

Hanna Geller's brown butter cookies are nutty, buttery and chewy — perfect to keep us all from chewing our fingernails over the scoreline ...

I developed this mug cake to celebrate PJ Library's 5th birthday but it's also ideal as a super quick fix for those in need of cake. And we each can have our own! Genius,
