I love ice cream of any sort and eat it all year round. Now the sun has shone for more than a few days, everyone else is joining in.
Retro treat
As I child I noshed French Eskimaux lollies (a 1970’s version of the Magnum) on the beach. Pierre Marcolini’s reinvention, a pop up lolly bar at his Marylebone store lets you customise yours with a choice of six ice cream or sorbets and six toppings — from milk chocolate and almond to white chocolate and toasted sesame.
Dairy free
No need to miss out if you don’t do dairy. Booja Booja’s yummy ices are made from a cashew nut base and come in a range of exciting flavours, from caramel pecan praline to raspberry ripple.
Grown up lo-cal treats
These gorgeous icy treats from Pops come in a range of cocktail flavours like Bellini; Frosé (rosé and raspberry) — only 30 calories(!) and even Champagne. All are less than 60 calories with two alcohol free (but quite grown up) flavours — Chilly Mango and Strawberry and Basil.
