Israeli Ambassador Ron Prosor was honoured for his representation of Israel as well as his suppport for Anglo-Jewish charities at the British Ort gala dinner. The Ambassador told the 245-strong audience, which included former prime minister Tony Blair’s wife, Cherie: “Your support now is more crucial than it has ever been.” The event was held at the Millennium Hotel in central London and raised £400,000 for Ort’s network of 18 schools in the former Soviet Union.
