The Jewish community has honoured Israeli President Shimon Peres at a gala dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in Central London. The event was jointly hosted by the Britain-Israel Communications and Research Centre (Bicom), the UJIA, the Jewish Leadership Council and the Board of Deputies. In his address, Mr Peres praised the work the host organisations did in developing "Friends of Israel" in the UK. The event was attended by 200 people
