UJS top team is ready for action

articlemain

Alex Dwek, chairman-elect of the Union of Jewish Students, has put the final touches to his new team.

Since winning last year's election, Alex has been working to form a new administration to work alongside him when he takes over the top job in Jewish student politics in mid-July.

Together with outgoing chair Adam Pike, the 22-year-old has been interviewing candidates for a number of roles.

Marking its position as one of the most progressive community organisations, all of the society's senior management positions, other than chair, will be held by women.

Emma Rickman stays on to lead the publicity team as events and marketing officer. Current Northern development officer Elana Wall takes over as director of development from Richard Verber, who moves to the new position of director of education and programming.

Carly McKenzie continues for a second year as campaigns director and is joined by new recruits Dani Orelowitz and Natalie Samuel.

Josh Moritz and Matt Keston join Josh Colman as development officers.

After paying tribute to the outgoing UJS team, Alex said: "I am delighted at the calibre of the new team and cannot wait to start working with them."
