Participants from as far as Hong Kong and New Zealand have signed up for this afternoon’s Yom Ha’atzmaut online quiz about Israel.

The event, which will begin at 4pm, is being run by London-based organisation Etgar, which has pioneered Jewish educational competitions.

Over a thousand have pre-registered but there is still time to join the event.

 “We’ve been delighted by the international response to the quiz” said Adam Taub, Etgar’s co-founder. 

“The UK community embraced the quiz straight away, followed by so many other Jewish organisations in Israel and internationally.  People are excited to come together in a shared experience that celebrates their knowledge of Israel.”
