Immanuel College is to hold an urgent Zoom meeting for parents next Wednesday to discuss its future in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.

Chairman of governors Anthony Warrens said: “The school is in a secure position but there are clearly issues we need to discuss.

“We have put an enormous of effort into making the school Covid secure, which is costly.

“The Covid situation has focused our mind and put  tremendous pressure on a number of parents.”

Fees for the preparatory school are £3,500 a term and £6,300 for the secondary school.

The school has enjoyed a boom in pupil numbers in recent years and said it was at capacity for year-7 with a waiting list.

The Hasmonean High Schools raised £1.5 million in 36 hours in an appeal in June to make up a Covid-related shortfall.
