Pack stays US leader

articlemain

United Synagogue president Stephen Pack is set for a second three-year term of office after being unopposed in next month's election.

Mr Pack, 64, a member of Hadley Wood Synagogue, said the US had "a new chief rabbi, a new chief executive and we're going to have a new strategic plan.

"The priority will be to harness all these in what is going to be an exciting time for the organisation." The US has so far not disclosed the names of candidates for the eight trustees. But, as reported in the JC last week, there are at least five contenders for four seats now reserved for women at the top table.
