Governor rethink at King David in Liverpool

articlemain

Liverpool’s King David Schools are to replace all their governors in elections designed to encourage a broader range of candidates.

Those interested can nominate themselves for the positions for both the high school and primary which will be elected on July 4. Trustees and associates of the King David Foundation will select governors through a secret ballot. The last took place in 2009.

The foundation provides around £400,000 of annual funding for Jewish studies and security arrangements. New foundation chair Michael Fraenkel hopes that the offer of training on school governance to successful candidates will attract a wider group.
