Adam Warner held off the challenge of 50 other competitors to win the Pier to Pier race in Brighton.
He said: “It’s an honour to win this prestigious competition as there is so much history involved.
"I have worked really hard to get to this result. It was a really exciting race and to go from back to front makes it even more special for me in what was my fourth attempt.”
Warner will now take a break from competing to work as a venue entry team leader at the Olympic Games before taking part in a 5K race in Eastbourne.
