Israeli soldiers shot dead the driver of a car which wounded a 60-year old man in a ramming attack in the West Bank earlier today.

The victim was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Centre in Jerusalem with a head wound after being treated by paramedics.

The attack took place near the Gush Zion Etzion junction, which has been the scene of a number of similar attacks on Israelis over the past two years.

According to Ha’aretz, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed a 21-year-old man from East Jerusalem had been killed in the incident.

The Israeli army said a knife had been found in the car.
