A manhunt has been launched after an Israeli man was stabbed while jogging outside the West Bank settlement of Neve Daniel, South of Jerusalem.
The victim, who is in his 30s, had been out jogging on Tuesday evening when he was attacked and stabbed. His wounds were moderate and to his upper body so he continued jogging until he arrived at the Gush Etzion gate, where he informed a security guard of the attack and was later treated by Magen David Adom.
The assailant fled the scene after the stabbing and is believed to have escaped in the direction of the nearby Arab village of Nahlin. Security forces are conducting large sweeps in search of the suspect.
Earlier on Tuesday a 13-year-old girl armed with a knife was detained by a security guard at the entrance to the Karmei Tzur settlement. A 16-year-old girl was also arrested at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate after pulling a knife on security guards when they asked to search her.
