Stephen Joseph will chair the squad for a third consecutive Games. He said: “Many of our squad have represented Team Maccabi GB in four or five previous Games and are the soul of our team.

"We have a father and son taking part in John and Alex Barnett both of whom have played for Maccabi GB.

"With most squad members having already won medals at International Games, the whole squad have been practicing together and formed a unique bond so we are really looking forward to getting out there and going for gold again.”

The squad features a number of national and international ranked open and junior players and expectations are high for a handful of medals.

Speaking about the aims for the squad, Junior Manager Jordan Miles said: “I'm confident and excited about Budapest. We have a variety of athletes who will be donning the Great Britain kit, but even our minimum level is high and we have some players who will turn up favourites to bring medals home.

"I have coached many of the players from a young age and others I will be travelling with for the first time. By the end of the Games, I hope to have given them a fantastic experience both on and off the court, not just returning with medals but with friendships too.”
