Bolle set the wheels in motion with two early strikes, firstly from Austin Lipman’s pass after five minutes, and then soon afterwards from the penalty spot as Lions raced ahead.

Codicote have recently added new coaching staff in a bid to avoid relegation, and they were in no mood to give up – pulling a goal back before the interval to make it 2-1 as the visitors remained in a contest.

But Lions were in no mood for upsets as the second half saw Lions again take over. 30 seconds after the restart Lipman again created the opening for the in-form Liron Mannie to prod home for 3-1.

Fifteen minutes later Lipman scored one of his own with a curling effort to put the three points beyond doubt.

Lions added a fifth when Jordan Marks’ corner was hammered in by man-of-the-match Charlie Rubin, again deputising at centre-half.

Codicote replied again with their second of the afternoon before Lions’ subs got in on the act with Tyler Smith’s free-kick being headed home by fellow substitute Adam Burchell as Lions ran out 6-2 winners.
