A man has been arrested after performing a Nazi salute, screaming 'sieg heil', and pleading for a race war at a US airport.

The man, named by MailOnline as Nicholas Letney, age 31, also pledged his allegiance to Adolf Hitler and screamed "Jews got what they deserve".

The incident took place last Sunday at Seattle Airport at the boarding gate of an American Airlines flight to Dallas, according to travel blog 'View From the Wing', and he was quickly arrested by airport police.

In footage posted online by shocked passengers, as well as the Stop Antisemitism campaign group, Letney is seen shouting comments such as, "You go to the gas chamber!" He also called another person "a f***ing alien. An alien and a reptilian."

As officers wrestled him into handcuffs, Letney continued shouting profanities, saying: "You ever heard of the First Amendment? You violated that 'cause I'm a Nazi."

Social media posts uncovered by MailOnline appear to show a history of antisemitic comments by Letney over the last several years.

In September 2018, he wrote: "Stalin's nose was totally hooked he was a total jew," and in another, he wrote: "So I changed my viewpoints since 2015 I don't want the jews kicked out of America."

He also wrote: 'I did not know anything about my parents but I still support revolution. Down with Bernie Sanders and the Jewish plot to dominate communism!"

Court records in the Seattle area, obtained by MailOnline, show that Letney was arrested for domestic assault in 2019, but the case was dropped without prejudice due to incompetency. A mental health evaluation was sealed by the court.

He was also arrested on suspicion of indecent assault in 2016, but that was also dropped for the same reason, and it was noted that he was shouting about the Cold War as he was arrested.
