A Second World War survivor has written a memoir about his notorious former neighbour – Adolf Hitler.
Munich-born Edgar Feuchtwanger, who has co-written “My Neighbour Hitler: memories of a Jewish child” with French journalist Bertil Scali, recalls his childhood under Nazi rule – from meeting the dictator face-to-face to experiencing antisemitic persecution.
Mr Feuchtwanger grew up on the street opposite Prinzregentenplatz 16 - where Hitler lived from 1929 to 1933.
Mr Feuchtwanger, 88, fled to England in 1939 but now lives in Aveyron, France.
The memoir is available in French bookshops from January 10.
