Film maker Brett Ratner is the latest Hollywood mogul to be accused of sexual harassment.

In a report in today’s LA Times, six women accuse Ratner of serious sexual misconduct.  Ratner, who has been involved in dozens of box office hits, denied the accusations through his lawyer.

Actress Natasha Henstridge told the paper that, in the 1990s when she was a 19-year-old model and Ratner was a video director, she was at his apartment when: “He strong-armed me in a real way. He physically forced himself on me. At some point, I gave in and he did his thing.”

In a 10 page letter refuting the women’s claims, Ratner’s lawyer Martin Singer said: “I have represented Mr. Ratner for two decades, and no woman has ever made a claim against him for sexual misconduct or sexual harassment.

“Furthermore, no woman has ever requested or received any financial settlement from my client.”

Ratner, 48, who once told a Jewish newspaper  “I'm not into dark stuff. I'm just a nice Jewish kid ... who loves movies and pretty girls." has directed, produced or financed films including Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Revenant and Horrible Bosses. Last month his plans to direct a bio pic about Playboy founder Hugh Hefner were announced.

On Sunday, Israeli Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot was due to present him with an award  from the Jewish National Fund at a gala in Hollywood, but withdrew due to a scheduling conflict. Instead Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, who has known Ratner for years, presented him with the award, saying: "He’s gone on to be this real power in this town. He’s a big character. He’s a big personality. But you know what I love about Brett, he wants that for everybody else too.”
