A prominent Donald Trump-supporting lawyer has claimed he did not see the words "burn the Jews" on a message he shared on social media.
Dinesh D'Souza retweeted a tweet that promoted his film that compares Mr Trump to Abraham Lincoln, but failed to see the tweeted contained the hashtag #burntheJews.
When someone else pointed it out, he insisted he was only trying to share the trailer and did not see the hashtag.

He then tweeted that the criticism was a "smeat attack designed to undermine my movie exposing the deep ties between the Left, racism and Nazism Left".
People began mocking Mr D'Souza, with one saying: "Don't worry Dinesh. Everyone accidentally tweets burn the Jews from their abhorrently racist fans. Could happen to anyone. I'm sure it says nothing about who you attract with your messaging."

Mr D'Souza was pardoned by Mr Trump in May, after he was convicted in 2014 for making illegal campaign contributions to someone running for the Senate.
Mr D'Souza said he was prosecuted over the issue because of "Obama’s anger over my movie that I made about him".
