A senior paediatrician at a London hospital has been referred to a disciplinary tribunal by the General Medical Council (GMC), the UK’s medical regulator, after openly defending Hamas, the JC understands.

Dr Ellen Kriesels, who works as a paediatric consultant at the Whittington Hospital in North London, has taken to social media multiple times to express her support for the terrorist organisation and also her disdain for what she calls "Jewish supremacy".

In August, she posted online: “Some Jews... say [October 7] was a pogrom... Other Jews... say that it was antisemitic. Always trying to frame the Jews as victims. So ridiculous. So excruciating. So exhausting.”

She went on to say: “The non-civilians [being killed in Gaza] are Hamas and, whether they are one per cent or 18 per cent of the Palestinians slaughtered, they should not have been killed either.
