Kneecap's manager Daniel Lambert has suggested Israel deliberately allowed the October 7 massacre to take place, saying it was probably a "pretence for full ethnic cleansing".
In a series of posts on X, the music boss wrote: "About time the likely truth can be debated: Israel had knowledge of an attack on October 7. With Netanyahu headed for prison, they stood down security.
"Hannibal directive killed huge numbers. Pretence for full ethic cleansing gained and cover for Netanyahu to stay in power."
Lambert went on to cite a New York Times article which came out two months after the attack.
"'Israeli officials obtained Hamas’s battle plan for the October 7 terrorist attack more than a year before it happened, documents, emails and interviews show'," he quoted.
The New York Times article itself said that while there was information in circulation among Israeli leaders about a potential attack, it was not seen as a significant threat.
The article read: "The document circulated widely among Israeli military and intelligence leaders, but experts determined that an attack of that scale and ambition was beyond Hamas’s capabilities, according to documents and officials."
Kneecap band member Liam O’Hanna faced charges of supporting a proscribed group at Westminster Magistrates' Court last month.
O’Hanna, 27, was accused of displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah at a Kneecap gig in November last year.
The chief magistrate will decide on September 26 whether O’Hanna will stand trial.
Lambert's comments come as a member of another controversial band, Bob Vylan, called for armed resistance not only against the IDF, but against the Metrepolitan Police as well.
He made the calls during his performance at the Canela Party indie rock festival in Spain late last month.
Similar to Bobby Vylan’s Glastonbury rant in June where he enticed the audience to chant: "Death to the IDF", the punk singer said to the crowd: “[We are] pro-Palestine, and we do support the right to an armed resistance, because we ain’t no f***ing pacifists.
"We ain’t the non-violent type because we understand that in dealing with tyrannical f***ing governments, you need to be violent sometimes.”
“That is why we see it from Palestine to f***ing England to America."
Vylan continued: “We see these arms of the government, whether it be the IDF, whether it be the f***ing London Met, whether it be the NYPD… We see them world over with their guns in our backs, their knees on our neck…
"So, we are for an armed resistance. We want to make that explicitly f***ing clear.”
“Down with Israel and the IDF, and free, free Palestine.”
