Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who earlier this month added to her record-equalling haul of Emmys with an award for Outstanding Lead Actress, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The news came just one day after her Emmy win.
The 56-year-old shared the news on Twitter with a photo of a personal note.

HBO, the makers of Veep, told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement that the mother-of-two learned about her diagnosis just one day after the Emmy awards.
'Our love and support go out to Julia and her family at this time,' HBO said in the statement to THR.
'We have every confidence she will get through this with her usual tenacity and undaunted spirit, and look forward to her return to health and to HBO for the final season of Veep.'
