Julia Louis-Dreyfus has celebrated a record sixth consecutive Emmy for her role in the White House satire, Veep.
The actress, who first sprang to fame in the long-running TV series Seinfeld, was named yet again last night as outstanding lead actress in a comedy.
“I don’t know what to say other than I’m numb,” Entertainment Weekly reported her as saying.
The final, seventh series of the show, in which she first appeared as vice-president before becoming president, is due to air next year.
It was inspired by the British political comedy, The Thick of It.
