There have been a number shootings in Jerusalem this morning, just hours after a wave of terror swept through Israel yesterday wounding over a dozen people and leaving one dead.
Early this morning, gunshots were heard in Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction. It is believed that they came from a passing vehicle targeting a bus; however, no one was injured.
Passengers on the bus helped police identified the two suspects, who launched an attack on security forces before being neutralised. Firearms were found in the vehicle.
Less than an hour later there was a shooting attack near Damascus gate which left one Israeli, 50, with an open wound.
The police believe the two shootings could be connected, and Arab media has reported that the Palestinian assailants of both attacks in Jerusalem were residents of a village of Akeb.
A third attack took place in Salfit, near the West Bank. A Palestinian assailant was shot while attempting to stab an Israeli soldier and died of his wounds shortly afterwards.
