Lost dog reunited with owner — in the most amazing way!

The lost pet was identified after police played its favourite song

Israeli police managed to reunite a missing dog with its owner, thanks to the animal’s ability to “sing” along to its favourite TV show.

Officers patrolling near the town of Tel Sheva in the country’s Negev region discovered an emaciated Siberian husky. Locals reported that they had found it wandering around a few days earlier.

One of the officers remembered that a dog fitting that description had been reported missing not long before from the city of Beersheba, over 10 miles away.

After taking the animal back to the station and giving it water to drink, the police contacted the person who reported their dog as missing, to see whether this was the pet in question.

The owner told the officers to play the theme tune for “Shemesh”, a children’s TV show, to the dog, and that if it “sang” along, it was his.

The police played some different songs to the animal, which did not respond, but when the officers played the “Shemesh” theme tune, the dog howled along in accompaniment – and was united with its owner soon afterwards.
