Israel is participating at an air show in Morocco, marking its first official appearance at a defence exhibition there, and signalling deepening military co-operation between the two countries.
Eight Israeli defence companies have showcased technologies including loitering munitions, AI-powered robotic systems and autonomous navigation for unmanned aerial vehicles at the 2026 Marrakech Air Show, which began on Wednesday and runs until Saturday.
The country’s three largest defence companies – Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael – are among those present, displaying technologies spanning air, land, sea, space, intelligence, cyber and digital systems.
Israel’s defence ministry said the country’s participation was part of its strategy to expand Israeli defence exports and international security co-operation, which it described as helping strengthen the IDF’s capabilities while supporting Israel’s defence industry and economy.
Brigadier General (Reserve) Yair Kulas, head of Sibat, a unit of the Israel Ministry of Defence that manages foreign defence relations, described Israel’s participation as “an important milestone” for the defence ministry and the Israeli defence industry.
“The companies that exhibited at the show brought combat-proven technologies alongside innovation in autonomy, artificial intelligence, and communications,” he said.
Israel and Morocco established diplomatic ties under the Abraham Accords in 2020, with defence co-operation between the countries expanding in recent years.
