A former JC writer was among the victims of the explosion in Marrakesh on Thursday.

Peter Moss, 59 and from London, was one of 15 people killed in the blast in a cafe.

Morocco’s Interior Minister said the device, which exploded in Djemma el-Fna square in the city’s old quarter, was activated remotely.

Mr Moss was a former pupil of Hasmonean School and a father of two. A broadcaster, comedian and journalist, at the British Press Awards in 2004 he was celebrated as “one of the country’s finest travel writers, with an unmatched eye for detail.”
