JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

JIMMY CASTLE (Redbridge Jewish Care) - an unstoppable 30-yard free kick that flew into the top corner. Two goalkeepers weren't saving that one!

HARRY GRAHAM (Hertswood Vale) - GOAL 1 - James Millet playing a beautifully weighted through ball into Harry Graham who took a touch and leathered the ball with his weaker foot into the top bins with an insane amount of curl, taking it far beyond the keeper's reach. Comparisons of Hurst in the '66 World Cup final were muttered around East Barnet

HARRY GRAHAM (Hertswood Vale) - GOAL 4 - a quick freekick from former Dons hero Adam Morrow found Graham who nutsed their defender before bending a shot in from 25 yards. A finish he could be proud of

JAMES MILLET (Hertswood Vale) - GOAL 2 - a brilliant piece of distribution from Vale's no. 1 Adam Zaidman found Millet who brought the ball down perfectly onto his chest, ran into the area, turned their defender and slotted beyond the onrushing keeper

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

ADAM ZAIDMAN (Hertswood Vale) - pulled off a save with the score at 0-0 that proved to be crucial in Vale going on to win the match

ZACK NATHAN (North London Galaxy) - Nese had the first real chance of the game, after some good wing play from Zack Collins created some space. He drilled the ball low and hard towards Reiss Mogilner but a strong hand from Zack Nathan in goal diverted the ball away

JC QUOTES OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

JACOB EMANUEL (Hertswood Vale) - "A lot of credit has to go to the referee and my co-manager Danny [Hirschberger] for ensuring that today's game went ahead. After a lot of hype about the weather going into this game, in reality it was just a very wet day"

DARREN LAWRENCE (Jewdinese) - “A huge, huge performance today. I am so immensely proud of every single player. We stuck to the task, listened to my instructions and thoroughly deserved the win. A great momentum builder for another big game next week. The title race is not over yet”

LAURENCE JUDAH (MLFC Blue) - "We're a team that's improved a lot, and is continuing to improve. If we can become more ruthless defensively then we'll become a really good side"

DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood) - "Competition for places is heating up for the first time this season and our season is still alive as we aim for silverware. We can’t ask for more than that heading into the business end of the campaign"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:

DAVID WOLFF PREMIER DIVISION CUP QUARTER-FINALS

MLFC BLUE 1 HMH 2

A goal in each half from Ariel Rahamim and Dom Feldman helped HMH come from a goal down to storm into their third cup semi-final of the season following a hard-fought 2-1 win over MLFC at the Hive.

Delighted HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "Another week watching quality football in terrible conditions, which only serve to bring out the best in our game. This time we did not concede late and this time we were focused on keeping MLFC much deeper and it worked as we ran out winners. Some superb performances - none more so that Eli Wegrzyn and Ethan Krell in midfield, who stepped up in the absence of Prais, Moss and Monjack, to deliver top drawer performances in midfield."

MLFC joint-manager Laurence Judah told JC Sport: "The best team won on the day, and overall I don't have any huge complaints about our performance. We're missing seven players who start regularly for us so as I say, I'm not too disheartened."

OAKWOOD 5 CAMDEN PARK 1

JOSH CUBY fired Oakwood into the last four as they destroyed Camden Park, with further goals from Daniel Seligman and Brad Wine adding the gloss.

Oakwood Director of Football Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "It was an emphatic win in poor weather conditions. We out played our opposition from early on with Cuby the stand-out player. Three first-half goals and an assist - totally unplayable and deservedly took the match ball home."

DC Prediction: Oakwood 2 Camden 1

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE 3 MILL HILL DONS 3

League top-scorer Zach Cohen added another two to his tally as Mill Hill Dons shared the points with lowly Redbridge Jewish Care.

Isaac Virchis was also on target for the second week in a row, but goals from Ben Nathan, Anthony Cope and Jimmy Castle ensured a point for RJC.

RJC boss Daniel Jacobs told JC Sport: "It was a really great game of football this morning. We were a little unlucky not to hold on for the win but a superb performance from 1-11 - the boys did everything we asked of them and more."

Dons manager Jamie Nagioff told JC Sport: "We let ourselves down a bit today. While I'm delighted with the way we responded to their third goal and the way we kept pushing for an equaliser, we really shouldn't have been in that position in the first place."

DC Prediction: RJC 1 Dons 2

Vale joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: "After grabbing our first goal, we were absolutely devastating in attack, none more so than Harry Graham who deservedly grabbed 4 goals today and walks away proudly with the match ball."
