A second-half strike from the evergreen Daryl Phillips kept Faithfold top of the table as they maintained their perfect record with a hard-fought win over Raiders at Chase Lodge.
Faithfold player-manager Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "First half was pretty even although I thought we comfortable. Second half we upped the tempo and created numerous chances and the game should have been put to bed but you have to take your chances.
"Raiders are a tough team as we found out last season and we were sloppy in our own passing which gave them chances. A good move created our goal from some good football to be finished of clinically by Daryl."

Jon Breger and Tom Miller got FC Team off to a solid start as they drew with the Lions at Meadow Park.
Two goals from summer signing Lorian Madanes, in his second spell with the club, earned Lions a point.
FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "Having gone 1-2 down, we fought back I made the substitutions and we got a deserved equaliser. It was a fair result as both teams were evenly matched and we showed against one of the title favourites that we can match them all the way.
Lions joint-manager Josh Newman told JC Sport: "The game was played in tricky conditions for both sides and although we were not at our best, there were encouraging signs and certainly positives to build on for the rest of the season."

Defending champions Hendon eased past Brixton at Hadley FC, running out 4-0 winners.
Doubles from Avidan Last and Ari Last did the damage for David Garbacz's men.
Hendon manager David Garbacz told JC Sport: "This was a game we were expected to win, but nevertheless it was very satisfying to see us complete it in such a professional manner."
Brixton boss John Nitka told JC Sport: "Hendon are a very good team and fitness showed on a very hot morning. However, my team can only improve."

It was a story of the debutantes at Parmiters as Oakwood and Brady shared the points in a 1-1 draw, as predicted.
Summer signing Marc Lazare opened the scoring for Brady with a header following an excellent cross from Bradley Sharp and it appeared that Joel Nathan's men would hang on to take the points until Rafi Bloom popped up with a late leveller for the Oaks.
Brady boss Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "Overall I'm disappointed as we let Oakwood score with virtually last kick of the match when we let our concentration slip, however on reflection a draw was probably the correct result as I felt we controlled the game for most periods but didn't create enough while Oakwood missed some clear chances."

Two goals from Dan Castle, including a last-minute equaliser, ensured a share of the spoils as Chigwell were made to sweat by new boys Shirley at Redbridge Sports Centre.
Anthony Mendel was Chigwell's other scorer in a thrilling contest.
Dan Beckwith (2) and Stefan Benfredj netted for Shirley.
Chigwell boss Richard Slater told JC Sport: "It was a very close game. We had chances to win it, as did they. At 2-1 up we looked in control and played some great stuff at times. Top spirit by the lads, especially in the heat to keep going to the end and grab a point which we deserved."

Glenthorne manager Sam Rosenthal told JC Sport: "I'm dDelighted with the derby win. It was a nice, positive start to the season that we can now build on and get stronger."

A stunning four-goal salvo from CRAIG EDWARDS inspired Fortune to a remarkable comeback in a nine-goal thriller against last season's Division Two champions at Clitterhouse.
Fortune overcame all the odds after trailing 2-0 and having Kane Gilbery dismissed. Craig Cole complete the comeback.
RA Noe, Yishai Last, James Josephs and joint-player-manager Chaim Gothold registered for Hendon.
Fortune boss Lee Fegan said: "We played the Division Two champions with five new players, no keeper and no subs ... and we were 0-2 down! So to pull off a result like that was a fantastic achievement. I am delighted with how the team played and it was a superb result.

Jonathan Kay (2) and Phil Peters registered for Norstar.
Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We raced out the blocks and was 3-0 up within 20 minutes. It was slick football that wins titles. I nearly went to my car for a cup of tea and a shluf. Anyhow, somehow we made a couple of costly mistakes that let Norstar back in the game. Fair play to Norstar - they gave us a run for our money in the second half but overall we full deserved the three points.

Fortune B finished in seventh heaven as they tore Boca to shreds. The boys in red and yellow went into their opening Third Division fixture with three pre-season defeats behind them, but certainly fired on all cylinders as they took last season's bottom team Boca Jewniors apart at the North Herts Arena, winning comfortably by 7–1.
Manager TERRY JEFFRIES, the Second XI's leading scorer for the past two seasons, netted four times, with Dave Sawyer, debutant John Kemp and an own goal adding to the tally.
