Omer Atzily and Dovev Gabbay steered Beitar Jerusalem into the second qualifying round of the Europa League following a hard-fought victory over Odabasy.
After a goalless first leg in Kazakhstan, Atzily broke the deadlock 16 minutes into the first half at Teddy Stadium in in Jerusalem.
Gabbay put daylight between the teams with Beitar’s second. Substitute Kyrylo Petrov hauled Odabasy back into the tie with a strike 19 minutes into the second half but their hopes were ended when Artem Kasyanov was dismissed late on.
Beitar will face R. Charleroi SC in the second round with the first leg on Thursday.
Hapoel Beer Sheva start the competition with a match against Thun.
