Eight delicious doughnuts to celebrate this Chanukah

Everyone of these must-try recipes is a winner

articlemain

If you’re going to the trouble of making your own doughnuts you want the right recipe. Here are eight of the JC’s favourites:

  1. With a baking powder-leavened dough, there’s no kneading or rising time so you can have these cute Doughnut Bites from Jane’s Patisserie on the table in under an hour.
  2. For a more traditional treat, Ta’amim’s Strawberry Jam-Filled Sufganyot are simple to make and oh-so delicious. We challenge you to stick to one...
  3. Inspired by last year’s air fryer frenzy, Fabienne Viner-Luzzato’s super cute Air Fried Gingerbread Doughnuts will keep your stove pristine and your conscience clean.
  4. Super light and airy Beignets from Liberty Mendez are a New Orleans-inspired treat. Serve with plenty of smooth chocolate sauce for dipping — and a wipe-clean table!
  5. Like many of us, professional baker, Trevennon Dakota, felt the need to connect with Israel so he crafted these gorgeous star-shaped Magen David sufganyot.
  6. No one should be excluded from the fun, and Becky Excell’s gluten free, sugar-crusted Seaside Doughnuts will delight everyone.
  7. Emily Scott brings zingy notes to her orange zested doughnuts which are packed with equally fresh flavoured lemon curd.
  8. With chestnuts in season and sweet chestnut puree in every shop, these Sweet Chestnut Puree Sufganyot from Silvia Nacamulli are a fabulously festive treat.
