Immanuel College is to offer 15 means-tested sixth form scholarships to train potential Oxbridge, medical and dental school candidates.
The new programme, which could cover up to 100 per of tuition fees – which stand at £24,800 a year – will provide individually tailored support to successful applicants.
It follows the opening of a dedicated sixth form centre at the beginning of the new term.
The college’s new ceo, Rabbi Cobi Ebrahimoff, said: “These scholarships bring our vision of Jewish global leadership to life, opening doors for talented and ambitious students regardless of financial circumstances.|
He thanked “our generous benefactor for sharing that vision and making these opportunities possible”.
John Wilson, the new director of sixth form, said: “Our aim is to empower students to believe in what they can achieve and give them the preparation and confidence to pursue the most ambitious pathways.
"Through expert mentorship, coaching and individual guidance, we will equip each student to make the strongest possible application to Oxbridge, medicine or dentistry.”
The scholarships programme is the latest sign of investment in the school by its new sponsors, who pulled it back from the brink of closure in the summer.
