An independent strictly Orthodox girls’ primary school in Hendon has been rated good in all areas by Ofsted.
Beis Soroh Schneirer retained the ranking of good it first earned three years ago.
Inspectors said it focused on developing pupil understanding of “key values such as respect, kindness and honesty. As a result, pupils look out for one another and play happily together. Older pupils relish the opportunities to take on roles of responsibility, such as being a school prefect.”
Prioritising reading, the school showed “a determination that every pupil becomes a
confident and fluent reader so that they can access the whole curriculum”. They noted regular story sessions, high-quality texts and a well-stocked library.
The curriculum was “broad and balanced” and girls were taught about different faiths and cultures.
“They develop an understanding that everyone has the right to be treated with respect,” Ofsted said.
