Division 2 Team of the Season: profiles

Ben de la Fuente (Norstar A) - although John Nitka would believe otherwise, the Norstar No. 1 is without a doubt the best goalkeeper in the division, according to Phil Peters, and "definitely the best" his manager "has seen in his limited time in the MSFL". "Performed miracles at times this season and put in big performances when it mattered"

Leor Harel (Faithfold B) - "best right back in the division", according to Ben Lewis, and "potentially a combative central midfield player in the making"

Robin Scher (Norstar A) - "Norstar's most consistent outfield player this season. No-one tried harder or gives more. Equally comfortable at right-back or left-back and responsible for one of the moments of the season when clearing a shot off the line, over his own head whilst running towards his own goal against FC Team

James Kaye (Brixton Old Boys) - excels at the back or in midfield. A top, top player who knows only how to play one way

Scott Shindler (Temple Fortune A) - "apart from possibly one game, he was tremendous, but then again you would expect that from someone of his quality"

Alex Aviram (Woodford Wanderers) - his team disappointed overall but he was the shining light with some vital goals, slide-rule passing and great leadership on and off the pitch

Jonathan Peters (Norstar A) - "excelled in the middle of midfield in his first full season for the club. Chipped in with a few important goals and looked a constant threat whoever he was partnered with"

David Gance (Temple Fortune A) - twinkle-toed winger has a bright future in the MSFL and it's no surprise that Fortune are keen to tie him down to a long-term deal. Plays with freedom to express himself and is never afraid to try a trick. A real crowd-pleaser

Paul Walker (Temple Fortune A) - "on his day he is as good a central midfielder as anyone in the division"

Jamie Kent (Brixton Old Boys) - "works so hard for his team and is deadly in front of goal. Should be in the top division"

Daniel Hildebrand (Faithfold B) - "goals, goals, goals in first season with the team. As dangerous coming from the left as playing up front with pace and an a real eye for goal
