Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt of the Conference of European Rabbis has written to Apple demanding that it withdraws the app from sale.
He said: “Although the Protocols of the Elders of Zion can and should be available for academics to study in its proper context, to disseminate such hateful invective as a mobile app is dangerous and inexcusable.
“As an app, it is much less likely to be used responsibly by historians and much more likely to be used by antisemitic conspiracy theorists and their fellow travellers to pursue their racist agenda.”
Apple has yet to respond to the complaints or confirm whether it will remove the app from sale.
