Jewish politician found stabbed to death in Paris

The body of a Jewish French politician was found covered in stab wounds in his apartment near Paris on Tuesday.

Alain Ghozland, 73, a Republican councillor in his hometown of Creteil, is believed to have been murdered but police currently have no leads in the investigation.

Mr Ghozland’s body was found on Tuesday morning after he failed to turn up as usual at synagogue.

According to reports his apartment had been searched, possibly by the assailants, and he had deep knife wounds.
