Shul-goers have been attacked in the French city of Marseille.
According to police, teacher Benjamin Amsellem was lightly hurt when a man wielding a machete attacked people leaving a synagogue after morning prayers.
The perpetrator was arrested 10 minutes after the attack and is being held in custody.
A source has described the attacker as “not seem[ing] to be in full control of his faculties”. He is believed to be 16 years old.
