More than 50 Palestinian protesters died and hundreds were more wounded on Monday as violence escalated at the Gaza Strip's borders with Israel.
Thick smoke from burning tyres rose into the air, while loudspeakers at mosques across the Gaza Strip urged Palestinians to join the protests.
Meanwhile Israeli troops fired shots across the border and used drones to drop tear gas canisters.
