IN PICTURES: Prince William's final day in Israel

The last hours of the historic visit took the Duke of Cambridge to the Western Wall

articlemain

Prince William began his final day in Israel and Palestine by looking out at Jerusalem's Old City from the Mount of Olives and paying his respects to Princess Alice, his great-grandmother and Righteous Among Nations.

Next, he visited the Western Wall, where he paused for a moment of prayer and left a note in a crack between the stones of the ancient monument.

His next stop was the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which hosts two of the holiest sites in Christianity.

Other holy sites, including the Temple Mount/Haram al Sharif, were also on the agenda.
