The eldest Beckham son heaped praise on his in-laws during vow renewal to wife Nicola Peltz, from which his family was notably absent

Brooklyn Beckham reportedly lavished praise on the Jewish family of his wife Nicola Peltz during a speech at the couple’s vow renewal ceremony earlier this month, with the Beckham family nowhere to be seen among the 200 guests in attendance.
Amid reports of an ongoing feud between the couple and the Beckham family, Brooklyn’s parents Victoria and David as well as siblings Cruz, Romeo and Harper were notably excluded from his second marriage ceremony at the Peltz estate in Westchester County, where Brooklyn, 26, gave a “heartfelt tribute” to his wife’s parents Nelson and Claudia.
A source told The Mirror that Brooklyn “spoke from the heart - and at the centre of his heart is Nicola who he loves very dearly, but also the Peltz family who have really stuck by his side. He wanted to recognise them all, and was determined to do them all justice.”
Heiress Peltz, 30, is the daughter of Jewish billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz, both of whom have reportedly been a huge support to the couple throughout their ongoing friction with the Beckhams.
News surrounding the couple’s wedding in 2022, which was officiated by a rabbi, indicated that Victoria and Nicola clashed on several occasions; Nicola chose Valentino to design her wedding dress instead of her mother-in-law; then the former Spice Girl turned what was supposed to be the newlywed couple’s first dance to the song You Sang to Me into a mother-and-son dance - a slight that reportedly left Nicola in tears.
The couple were later distraught when Victoria allegedly failed to invite them to her fashion show in Paris, which they found out about in a magazine.
The LA-based couple did not attend David’s 50th birthday party in March of this year, though they were reportedly invited “despite tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and the family”, a source told People Magazine.
Brooklyn, who has a star of David tattooed on his hand and one Jewish great-grandparent, has not formally addressed the ongoing row. The eldest Beckham son seems to be taking comfort in Nicola’s family, including her seven siblings, all of whom were raised Jewish. Nicola reportedly has a Yiddish tattoo on her chest which translates to “family first.”
Nicola told the outlet Byrdie in 2024: “Family is everything to me, and I mean that with my whole heart. I go to Florida any chance I get, and we stay at my parents’ house. It honestly makes me so happy to wake up and have my siblings around. It’s really hard to get us all in the same place because there are so many of us. When we’re all together, it’s so fun.”
